The Learning Resource Centre and the Centre for Foreign Languages, School of General Education are thrilled to announce the launch of the 10th BNBU MET (More English Talkers) English Speaking Contest!
This annual, university-wide event is designed specifically for non-native undergraduate speakers who wish to practice oral English in a fun and motivating environment. Powered by MET’s Automatic Speech Analysis Technology, the contest provides instant and accurate scoring, giving users immediate feedback to help them improve with every attempt. During the contest period, students can participate anytime, anywhere via computer, laptop, or mobile phone.

Contest Rules & Scoring:
Two Parts: The contest consists of two articles:
· Article I (Reading): Listen to the standard recording and read the text displayed on the screen.
· Article II (Listening & Repeating): Listen to the standard recording and repeat what you hear.
· Note: You must complete both articles to receive a final score. Your final score is the sum of both parts.
Unlimited Attempts: Practice makes perfect! You may submit recordings as many times as you like during the contest period.
Best Score Counts: The system automatically saves your highest score after each attempt. Only your best score will be used for the final ranking.
